Nancy Liu

I was born in Dalian, China, and moved to the United States at 11 years old. Navigating a completely new country all while discovering my own identity was an ongoing struggle. Luckily, music accompanied my journey, playing a central role in helping me stay in touch with my culture. Along the way, I gradually found a niche of Asian artists I resonated with, who I would later have the honor and privilege to work with.  

My love for music dates back to when I began playing the piano since the age of 4, which set me up for success in learning other instruments down the road. Music education has taught me great lessons about commitment and hard work. Despite dreading the long practice hours in my childhood, they eventually transformed into my diligent work ethic and resilience amidst challenges. 

Music has been the most central element in every stage of my life. Through music, I found belonging in communities of diverse and driven individuals who I could grow with but also learn from. Having directly contributed to the success of my favorite artists and providing resources to aspiring talent within less than a year of working in the music industry, I am grateful to be part of the meaningful changes that will advance the industry. I strive to grow to become a resourceful individual who positively impacts others in the same way music has impacted me.
